Our mission

The Miramar Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 189 is the official Collective Bargaining Unit for Miramar Police Officers and Sergeants. With over 373,000 FOP members, the FOP is one of the largest police unions in the world. Miramar’s FOP Lodge is proud to represent the men and women of the Miramar Police Department.

Our mission is to provide high-quality service to our members with legal defense, union representation in grievance procedures, and any hardships members or their families might be going through. Miramar FOP Lodge 189 is dedicated to the community they protect in the City of Miramar. Our goal is to cultivate a strong bond between its members and the residents, businesses, places of worship, and other entities in the City of Miramar. The men and women of the Miramar Police Department swore an oath to protect and serve their community, and they understand the importance of providing a safe community for its residents. The Miramar FOP Lodge 189 proudly supports its members in this common goal.
